Given the gripping cliffhanger from the previous book, this one had a surprisingly slow start. The absence of M-Bot is truly disheartening, and I hope his return isn't delayed for long. The world-building is impressive, and the plot is steadily intensifying. However, Spensa's increasing power level has begun to diminish the tension for me. I'm hopeful that the stakes will escalate significantly in the latter half of the story.
